Check Shirt Tech Pack: A Complete Guide for Garment Production
A check shirt tech pack is a detailed technical document used to guide manufacturers during the production of check or plaid shirts. Because check patterns require precise alignment and consistency, a well-prepared tech pack is essential to achieve accurate pattern matching, correct fit, and high-quality finishing.
1. Flat Sketches The tech pack includes detailed front and back flat sketches showing collar style, placket, yoke, pockets, cuffs, sleeves, and hem shape. Special notes are added for check alignment on panels.
Fabric & Check Details This section defines fabric type (woven cotton, twill, flannel, or blended fabric), fabric weight (GSM), yarn-dyed or printed checks, check size, repeat, and direction.
Stitching & Construction Stitch types, seam allowances, SPI, placket construction, collar and cuff assembly, and reinforcement points are clearly defined for consistent quality.
Measurement Specifications A complete size chart is provided with key measurements such as chest, shoulder, sleeve length, body length, cuff width, and collar size. Measurement tolerances are also mentioned for production accuracy.
